Miami Baptist Church and her partners from around the country are in full action mode this week doing disaster relief at the two large Irma evacuation shelters in the Miami Dade County Fair Exposition Center. Right now you can come to the church and help organize and sort the food that has been donated for disaster relief into individual family boxes. These boxes have been picked up by our team of volunteers and are now in the process of being placed into family boxes which will then be taken back to the shelters for distribution to departing families. We also are requested to gather 6 volunteers per night who are willing to work in the shelter from 7pm to 7am. That roster is being managed by our own Monica Parada. Call the church office to sign up for a night! @ 305-388-8059. We also need volunteers to work with the distribution of the clothing for each family. Again call the office and sign up, because walk ins are not allowed.
We had a great service on Sunday, but many of you have not been able to give your support to the church. We have tried to make that easy for you, even if you are out. You can now give by texting. Click on the give now button on this home page and help us do this great ministry in the area!
